+1 SPEED: Escape School

Every step you take in +1 SPEED: Escape School cranks your speed up another notch, and that's the whole hook. You start slow, shuffling past lockers, and by the time you're sprinting through moving platforms and lava balls you're basically a blur trying not to faceplant.

The school itself is the obstacle course - corridors rigged with traps, platforms that won't sit still, and an evil teacher who really does not want you leaving. Reaction time matters more with every passing second, because the faster you go, the less room you have to correct a bad jump.

Between runs you head back to the hub to pump up your speed and energy stats, which changes how the next attempt feels from the first step. It's a tight loop of run, fail, upgrade, try again - the kind of thing that suits 1 Player Games fans who like their Obstacles Games with an escalating twist.

If dodging hazards while the ground tries to end your run sounds familiar, you'll feel at home here the same way you might in Deadly Descent - just swap the descent for a hallway sprint and add a teacher who's had enough of your nonsense.

Escape the school before the evil teacher or one of its traps catches you, using the +1 speed mechanic that makes your character move faster with every step you take.

On PC, move with WASD or the arrow keys, jump with the space bar, and hold the right mouse button to rotate the camera. On mobile, use the on-screen interface controls and swipe the right side of the screen to look around.

Visit the main hub between runs to upgrade your speed and energy stats - going in with better stats makes the later, faster stretches of each level much easier to survive.

Watch for moving platforms, lava balls, and tight corridors especially once your speed builds up, since a small misjudged jump becomes a much bigger problem at full pace.
