Spin&Mow
Description
A robot made of two spinning saw gears connected by a serrated chain sounds like a weird pitch, but that's exactly what you're piloting in Spin&Mow, and the weirdness is the fun. You anchor one gear, let the other orbit at the end of the chain, then tap-swap to fling yourself across gaps between grass islands floating over deep water.
It's not just about launching yourself around, though. Each stage hands you a grass quota to mow, stumps and boulders and crystals to dodge, and moving platforms you need to time your landing on before the flag lets you escape. Miss the timing and you're swimming, not mowing.
Upgrades like Sharper Saws, Longer Chain, Reinforced Frame, Coin Magnet and Tuned Gearbox change how forgiving all of this feels over time, which matters because there are 20 stages between you and the Hall of Fame. Finish them all and you get to call yourself a MOW-A-HERO, which is a title worth bragging about.
If you like the swing-and-launch rhythm here, Stickman Hook scratches a similar itch, and both sit comfortably alongside other Arcade games built around split-second timing.
How to Play
Cut enough grass to meet each stage's quota, dodge the obstacles in your way, and reach the exit flag to clear the level.
Click, tap, or press space to swap which gear is anchored and launch your saw-chain robot across the gap. Use the mouse wheel or the HUD buttons to lengthen or shorten the chain before you swing.
Watch your landings on moving platforms - timing them wrong drops you straight into the water. Grab upgrades like Longer Chain or Reinforced Frame when you can, since they make later islands much less punishing.
