Portal Hop
Description
If you like puzzles where the tool you carry is the whole trick, Portal Hop is going to click with you. You spend the entire game with a portal hovering above your head, and instead of jumping the normal way, you warp yourself onto platforms that would otherwise be out of reach.
Plus and minus power-ups adjust the height of that portal, so every level becomes a small planning problem before it becomes a platforming one. Grab the wrong power-up and you'll warp yourself straight into a wall instead of onto the ledge you wanted. Think it through, then commit.
There's no timer breathing down your neck here, no combo meter to chase - just you, a portal, and a path that only reveals itself once you've worked out the height math. It sits nicely alongside other Puzzle games on the site if you're the sort who likes puzzles with a physical, spatial twist rather than tile-matching.
If brain-teasers with a bit of platforming appeal, this one's built for exactly that itch. Fans of Brain Training Games and quick single-player sessions should feel right at home.
How to Play
Reach the level's exit by warping yourself onto higher platforms using the portal above your head, adjusting its height with plus and minus power-ups along the way.
Press W or the Up Arrow to warp upward, and use A/D or the Left/Right Arrow keys to move. Stuck or fallen somewhere unfortunate? Press R to reset the level instantly and try again.
Before you warp, take a second to check which power-up you last collected - the portal's height depends on it, and warping at the wrong moment usually means restarting rather than progressing.
