Tap the tent in the middle of the screen and it spits out new items for you to merge, and pretty soon your tidy little seed patch turns into a sprawling collection of flowers, fruits, and even animals.

The pace is smart about it too. You start slow with basic seeds and small plants, nothing overwhelming, then before you know it you're merging your way up to roses and radishes and wondering how your garden got so big. Drag items together to level them up, then walk your finished pieces back to the tent to sell them off and keep the cycle going.
