Player 1 moves with WASD. Player 2, for local matches, uses the Arrow Keys. On mobile, drag the on-screen touch joystick to move. Movement is your only input - checks, stick breaks, and collisions all happen automatically through physics.

Since you can't control anything but movement, positioning is everything. Skate into opponents at the right angle to send them flying and clear a path to the puck.
