Crystal Connect
Description
Two dwarves, one crystal-filled quest, and a rule that sounds simple until you're staring at the board: any path connecting two matching gems can only bend twice. That single restriction turns Crystal Connect from a casual pastime into a genuine head-scratcher, and it's what sets it apart from a lot of other matching games out there.
The core loop is classic connect-style: find two identical crystals, trace a clear route between them with no more than two turns, and they vanish. Do that enough times and you clear the whole field. Sounds easy, except the board fills up with obstacles that block your paths and explosive gems that shake up your strategy the moment you think you've got a level figured out.
You'll work through dozens of levels alongside your dwarf duo, each one adding new layout puzzles to untangle. It's the kind of puzzle game that rewards patience over speed. If you like the tile-pairing logic here, Mahjong Connect scratches a similar itch with a different theme.
Best part? It runs straight in your browser on desktop or mobile, no download, no cost. Just open it up and start hunting for matches.
How to Play
Clear the board by connecting every pair of matching crystals until none are left. Tap or click one crystal, then its matching twin, but only if the path between them bends no more than twice - straight lines and simple turns are your friends, zigzags are not.
Watch for obstacles blocking direct routes and explosive gems that change the board when triggered, both of which force you to rethink your next move. Scan the whole field before committing to a pair; the two-bend rule means some matches that look obvious at first glance simply won't connect.
Work outward from open edges of the board first - crystals boxed in by others get easier to reach once neighboring pairs are cleared.
