Before any of that, you build your player: pick the gear, stack the upgrades, and shape the kind of baller you want to run the court as. Then it's straight into fast matches where timing your release and reading your opponent matter more than raw speed.

Get close enough to the hoop and that same Spacebar turns into a dunk button - slam it home instead of laying it up. Get close to your opponent and you can strip the ball right out of their hands. It's built for players who like competitive games with a quick reaction window, the kind of arena games where every possession is a small decision.

Score more than your opponent by working the ball down the court and putting it through the hoop. Use W, A, S, and D to move and dribble around defenders. Press and hold Spacebar to shoot, releasing it at the right moment to score - the timing of your release matters more than button-mashing. Get close to the hoop and tap Spacebar to dunk instead, and get close to your opponent to attempt a steal. Practice your release timing first; a rushed shot misses far more often than a held one.
