Backrooms Craft
Description
The first thing Backrooms Craft asks you to do is wreck a chair. Pull it apart and you get sticks. Sticks become a torch, boards become a workbench. You went through the wrong door, so you might as well get handy. Behind it: damp carpet, humming lights and yellow wallpaper that runs further than it has any right to.
From there it plays like a Minecraft Adventure game stuck under very bad office lighting. Stone tools come next, then steel, and each tier opens up what the last could not touch. The furnace smelts metal. The salvage bench strips furniture for parts, which is a oddly satisfying way to treat the decor.
It sits in the Survival Horror games camp, so creatures are around, and your left mouse button turns into a blow when you aim it at one.
The world reshuffles every time you start, except the first hall. A yellow line on the floor marks its border, and everything you build inside it stays where you left it.
How to Play
Gather parts from the furniture around you, craft better tools, and make a home out of the endless yellow halls.
Walk with WASD or the arrow keys, hold Shift to run, press Space to jump and C to crouch. Move the mouse to look around. Hold the left button to mine a block or pull furniture apart, and use it on a creature to hit it. The right button places a block, eats, drinks, or opens a workbench or furnace.
Tip: build inside the yellow line in the first hall. That area is the only part of the world that survives a restart.
