Once a room looks right, you don't just admire it from above. Switch to first-person walk mode, climb your own stairs, and see your work by day and by night, right down to the pool and fountain you built in the yard.

Design and furnish a house from the ground up, then walk through it to see how it turned out - that's the whole loop, whether you're free-building or filling a client's order for points and experience.

On computer, use the mouse to build and control the camera (right button rotates, wheel zooms), WASD or arrow keys to move the camera around, R to rotate an item into place, and Delete to sell something you don't want. Press Esc to leave walk mode. On phone, tap to build and select, use two fingers to rotate and zoom the camera, and the joystick to walk once you're inside.

Tip: finish a room before wandering off to the yard - stepping into walk mode partway through makes it much easier to spot what's still missing.
