Word Deck Solitaire
Description
Pick four cards, look for the thread connecting them, and clear them off the board - that's the whole rhythm of Word Deck Solitaire. Every level scatters word cards in front of you and hides categories underneath, waiting for you to group words by theme, object, property, or concept.
Guess right and the group vanishes, board a little emptier, brain a little smugger. Guess wrong and the cards just slide back, no penalty, no pressure - just you rethinking the connection. Early levels keep the links obvious, but the sets grow and the relationships get subtler the further you go.
It plays in the browser on desktop, free, nothing to install. If you like sorting things into neat piles, this scratches the same itch as Wordsearch games but with logic instead of letter-hunting, and it sits comfortably alongside other Puzzle games on the site.
No blood, nothing scary, just word cards and quiet satisfaction - a solid pick if you want something to settle into.
How to Play
Clear the board by finding groups of 3-4 word cards that share a theme, object, property, or concept. Select the cards you think belong together - guess right and they're removed from the board, guess wrong and they simply return to their spots so you can try again.
There's no penalty for a wrong guess, so treat early attempts as scouting. Start with the connections that jump out first, since those often unlock which words are left for the trickier hidden categories.
As levels progress, word sets grow larger and the shared logic gets less obvious, so slow down and consider properties as well as themes.
