There's no card in sight in Hyper Wave Challenge, despite what the label might suggest - just you, a wave, and a wall of obstacles closing in fast. Hold to fly up, let go to drop, and hope your timing is better than it was on the last attempt.

Every level throws sharp-edged obstacles at you that demand real precision, and portals mix up the rhythm just when you think you've found a groove. Coins are scattered along the way too, so you're not just surviving, you're collecting while you dodge.

It plays like a cousin to those twitchy jumping games and obstacles games you've probably rage-quit before - simple controls, brutal precision required. On desktop you've even got a practice mode with checkpoints, so you can drill the nasty sections until your thumb remembers the pattern better than your brain does.

It's free, it's in your browser, and it's landscape-only, so tilt your screen and get flying.

Guide the Wave through each level, dodging obstacles and grabbing coins on the way to the finish.

On phones, hold your finger down to make the Wave fly up, and let go to send it back down. On a computer, hold the left mouse button or space bar to rise, and release to fall. In practice mode, press Q to drop a checkpoint so you can retry tricky sections without starting over.

Watch the portals closely - they shake up the pace, so ease off early rather than reacting at the last second.
