Brainroot is the mysterious substance that devours minds in this world. It appears in the most dangerous and inaccessible places on the map. You collect it to survive and to strengthen your character.

Your character dies, but is reborn right away at your base. Death is part of the strategy rather than a game over. You can head back into the flooded areas to pick up new resources.

Move with the WASD keys and press the Space bar to jump. Jumping is how you get past obstacles and climb up to high points where the glowing Brainroot clusters like to hide.

Just walk close to it. When you find a Brainroot, go near it to collect it. When you want to install a collected sample, go close to it at your base in the same way.

The swamp's water level is constantly rising and flooding the land. Routes you used earlier can end up underwater, so familiar trails don't stay open. Plan new routes whenever you return to flooded areas.
