Description

One more try always feels fair here, because when a run goes wrong you can see exactly why. A spark met a gas pocket. Rock collapsed. Sand poured and water flowed right where you didn't want them. Every pixel in Ash of the Depths obeys physics, so the mess is yours and so is the fix.

You are the last executor the Ash Legion sends to the bottom of Sorrow-IV, a colony that has gone silent, where something ancient and hungry has woken up. It's a dark Sci Fi Games shooter in crunchy pixel art, and magma even cools into stone while you work out your next move.

There's plenty of depth to dig through. You get 100 levels, a 6-chapter story campaign with two endings, and 7 biomes, from flooded mines and a meat manufactory to the forges of the abyss. Then come 15 enemy types and bosses, starting with the infected and the gunner.

If you like Fast Paced Action games, this one from PixTlt runs free in your desktop browser. No download, no fuss.

How to Play

Descend as deep as you can, reach the exit of each level and survive the bosses.

On PC, move with A and D, jump with W, hit Space for the jetpack, and aim and fire with the mouse. On a phone, the left stick moves and jumps, the right stick aims and fires (auto-aim is on by default), and the buttons on the right throw a grenade, swing the cutter or swap weapons.

Tip: gas explodes from a single spark, so look at what's around you before you pull the trigger.
